THIS IS OUR STORY

 

Sometimes the best person to get advice from, is someone who has been there, done that. That someone is Diane Massie, a Doctor of Chiropractic Care.

 

In 1982 Dr. Massie was a victim of an automobile accident. It left her with two fractured legs and a variety of other physical problems. Her injuries were so debilitating that she remained on crutches on and off for years after the accident. The injuries even resulted in bone loss, decreasing her over-all height. For years she has been plagued by chronic pain.

 

It wasn't until 2005 that Dr. Massie believes she found the answer she has been seeking over 20 years. Dr. Massie says, "Research and case studies show that low level laser therapy stimulates and accelerates the healing process reducing inflammation and thus decreasing pain. Before committing myself to endorsing and practicing Laser Therapy, I became a patient. In addition I performed a dozen of my own case studies and found the response to be extremely beneficial." Laser Therapy is used in treating a variety of conditions, including arthritis, back and neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, sinus headaches, diabetic neuropathy and sports injuries, just to name a few. Dr. Massie says, "I understand what it is like to deal with pain. It touches every aspect of your life. You grasp for anything that can give you some relief and many times are disappointed. It is my goal to assist those patients who are experiencing pain to get some relief so that they can live life to the fullest."

Dr. Massie graduated Cum Laude from George Williams College in 1977 with a Bachelors in Biology. She continued her education at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, presently the National University of Health Sciences. She graduated in 1985 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic Care. Dr. Massie also received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois-Chicago, in 1993 (major - Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences), and is a Certified Professional Ergonomist.
